Our founder Asha Agarwal shares the personal story behind our brand name:
Why the Name “Inspire”?
I was recently at a client event—a great chance to network and catch up with friends and colleagues, old and new. As always, the energy was buzzing yet relaxed, and I found myself in a conversation that led to a question I’ve been asked before: “Why the name Inspire?”
It is a question that always makes me pause, not because I don’t know the answer, but because it carries so much meaning for me, both personally and professionally.
When I founded Inspire New Homes, I knew I wanted a name that captured the essence of what drives me: the power of possibility. That belief that with hard work, dedication, and the right mindset, we can achieve what we set out to do.
The name Inspire for me resonates with my clients that inspire to build and grow their sales team without the internal expertise in order to achieve sales targets but also the customers (first time buyers) who all inspire to buy and own their own home one day.
The name also reflects something deeply personal—my daughter, Amira. She’s my daughter, my best friend, and my constant reminder of why I do what I do. Watching her grow into a confident, strong young woman fills me with pride. She is a teenager now, navigating the world with curiosity and resilience, and I want to show her, every day, that there are no limits to what she can achieve.
When I look back on my journey in the property sector, I see how much inspiration I’ve drawn from others along the way. I’ve been fortunate to work with and learn from some incredible leaders—women and men, who have taken the time to share their energy and insight with me. Their belief in me, and their willingness to open doors, has been instrumental in shaping the person I am today.
I know that this sector hasn’t always been as open as it is now. Housing has come a long way but for years it was a world of men in grey suits, with little room for people like me—a woman of colour with big ambitions. That’s changed, and I’m proud to be part of a sector that’s more diverse and richer with much more opportunities.
The journey from starting out as a sales executive to becoming the founder of a successful business has had its challenges. But more than that, it’s been filled with moments of growth, inspiration, and connection. Inspire New Homes isn’t just a name—it’s a reflection of everything I stand for and everything I want to contribute to this industry.
So, to the person who asked me “Why Inspire?” at that event: it’s because I believe in the power of inspiration. Whether it’s through the work I do, the people I meet, or the example I set for Amira, my hope is to create something that uplifts, empowers, and opens doors for others.
And that’s a name I’m proud to stand behind.
